Certain builders specialise in different construction formats such as 2 storey or framed construction. Our award winning building partner has various divisions to cover all construction formats from single to double storey construction.

Where do Strataplex operate?
Our award winning building partner has various divisions across the state covering the Perth metropolitan area as well as most regional centres in the Southwest, Great Southern and Midwest. Strataplex have also successfully completed other projects as far afield as Port Hedland and Karratha in the north of the state.

Do Strataplex only deal with unit developments?
No. We also have a design and project management service for individually designed new homes and commercial / industrial developments and have access to a range of builders who specialise in these sectors.

What is the R Code of my property?
The R-Code of your property is the designated zoning density that determines your development options. Essentially this will dictate how many units you will be able to fit on your block as well as other mandatory building restrictions such as minimum lot size, setbacks, open space, site coverage and on-site parking. How do I find out what R Code applies to my property?
The Town Planning Section at Your local authority will be able to let you know the R-Code which applies to your property. Alternatively Contact us detailsclick here and we find out for you and let you know exactly how many units you can fit on your block.

Do I have to subdivide before I build?
No definately not. This is one of the most common mistakes made by first time developers. If your intention is to build units then you can save time and money by leaving the strata titling process until completion. How long does the development process take?
Whilst every development may be different, development time frame can vary, and it can take on average between 12-18 months depending on the size and complexity.

What if a property is included on the Local Heritage Register, can I subdivide?
Subdivisions of a registered area (known as a curtilage) can occur as long as the heritage values and settings of the place are respected. The Heritage Council has supported many subdivisions.
